Business 361 Marketing Project for Friedrich's Ataxia Research
Business 361 Marketing Project for Friedrich's Ataxia Research Alliance (FARA)
Students in BUS 361 Principles of Marketing at Indiana State University are launching a real product as part of their coursework: insulated can coolers featuring the “Strength in Every Stride #FIGHTFORFA” design. This hands-on project allows students to experience what it takes to bring a product from concept to market while learning key marketing principles.
To make this experiential learning project possible, we are raising seed money to purchase the initial inventory of insulated can coolers. These funds will allow students to begin production, market the product, and manage the full lifecycle of selling a product in the real world.
Through this project, students apply the Four P’s of marketing: product, price, place, and promotion while gaining practical experience working with real budgets, real customers, and real outcomes. Students are actively bringing those concepts to life.
This initiative also supports the Friedrich’s Ataxia Research Alliance (FARA), a nonprofit organization whose mission has touched the Terre Haute community. By connecting business education with community impact, students are learning not only how marketing works, but also how businesses can foster goodwill and make a meaningful difference.
