Business 361 Marketing Project for VNA & Hospice
Business 361 Marketing Project for VNA & Hospice Of The Wabash Valley
Each semester, students in the Business 361 – Principles of Marketing at Indiana State University’s Scott College of Business put classroom concepts into action through a community engagement project. This hands-on initiative allows students to apply the Four P’s of Marketing—Product, Price, Place, and Promotion—while making a meaningful difference in the Terre Haute community.
This semester, the class has chosen to partner with the Visiting Nurse Association and Hospice of the Wabash Valley, a nonprofit organization that provides compassionate care and support to patients and families facing life-limiting illnesses. Students will collaboratively select a product, design a logo and slogan, and market the item throughout the community—with the proceeds supporting VNA and Hospice of the Wabash Valley at the end of the semester.
Local businesses and community members are invited to support this student-led initiative. Each $100 gift helps fund the purchase of inventory and materials, allowing students to maximize their fundraising impact. Donors will be recognized for their contributions, and the project will culminate with a check presentation to the leadership team at the Visiting Nurse Association and Hospice of the Wabash Valley.
This project not only strengthens students’ understanding of real-world marketing strategy and corporate social responsibility but also highlights the power of community partnerships in supporting an important local cause.
Join us in empowering future business leaders and helping the VNA and Hospice of the Wabash Valley continue their mission of care and compassion.
Your contribution directly supports both student learning and local impact.
