Celebrating the Legacy of Ron Carpenter

Ron Carpenter earned his bachelor’s degree in 1977 and master’s degree in 1982 from Indiana State University. He spent his career in non-profit management and served in several leadership roles at Indiana State, including President of the Indiana State University Foundation, Chair of the Board of Trustees, and Chair of the Alumni Association. Ron was a former co-captain for the Sycamore football team and received the Distinguished Alumni Award in 1998.

Ron and another Sycamore, Tunch Ilkin, both passed away due to neurodegenerative diseases. They were honored by teammates, family and friends by the creation of an programmatic endowment to benefit Sycamore Football.

To commemorate what would have been Ron's 70th birthday on October 22, we are asking you to make a gift to the Ron Carpenter/Tunch Ilkin Football Endowment. Help us continue to celebrate the legacy of a true Sycamore.
